Puppy Love

My grandson Finn was born 4 years ago, and I made him a cuddly blanket out of 2 pieces of fleece, with fringe tied in knots.  He snuggled with it, and I was a happy GrandMomma!

Fast forward to last month, when Finn and his parents got a new puppy, Rufus.  An adorable 3-month old Welsh Terrier. (This breed look like miniature Airedales.)  Rufus, evidently, took a liking to Finn's blanket.

My daughter asked me to make a new one for him.  I thought "him" meant Finn.  So I double checked, which is an important step to take when it comes to clear communication.   "No" she replied, "it's for Rufus, so he can have one upstairs and one downstairs!" Glad I checked!

So here is the new puppy blanket in progress.  I'm hoping Rufus will share with Finn.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mosaic

Mosaic project!

I'm working on this 25 square foot mosaic which is being created on mesh, then will be put on the inside of an archway in our house.

The colors go well with the colors we have been painting the walls:  terra cotta, blues, earthy tones.

This will sit at the bottom of the arch, and the colors will flow up to the top, then down the other side in a similar pattern.

I'll update you as and when there is progress!
